On-site meeting of the collegium of the main justice department of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee

A field meeting of the board of the main department of justice of the Vitebsk regional executive committee was held in the assembly hall of the Polotsk inter-district enforcement department. The board meeting was attended by the Deputy Minister of Justice of the Republic of Belarus Avdeev A.D., representatives of the Main Department of Enforcement of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus, the prosecutor of the department for supervision of compliance with legislation by criminal-executive system bodies and enforcement, the head of the enforcement department of the main department of justice of the Vitebsk regional executive committee Korzhov A.I. and employees of the department, chief bailiffs of city, district and inter-district enforcement departments.

The meeting summarized the results of the work of territorial enforcement bodies for the first half of 2019, analyzed statistical indicators, discussed problems of bailiffs' work in certain regions, and outlined tasks for the second half of the current year.

The head of the enforcement department of Novopolotsk, Metlova Yu.V., shared her positive experience in organizing the work of the unit she heads. The prosecutor of the department for supervision of compliance with legislation by criminal-executive system bodies and enforcement spoke about the problems of interaction between enforcement bodies and claimants – state bodies, execution of enforcement documents of certain categories, consideration of applications, petitions and complaints of parties to enforcement proceedings, and prospects of work within the framework of implementing changes to the criminal law.

Participants exchanged views on issues of statistics formation, fulfillment of performance criteria for enforcement bodies, problems of accounting for claims by prosecutors, improvement of regulations on the responsibility of employers of debtors for untimely transfer of withheld funds, and untimely return of enforcement documents to claimants.
