Exhibition "In the Vitebsk Sky" for the 95th anniversary of the DOSAAF Vitebsk Aeroclub

On December 29, 2025, at 12:00 PM, the Vitebsk Regional Museum of Local Lore (Rathaus, 36 Lenin Street) will host the opening of the exhibition "In the Vitebsk Sky," dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the DOSAAF Vitebsk Aeroclub.

For 95 years, the Vitebsk sky has been traced by aircraft trails and adorned by parachute canopies. The exhibition "In the Vitebsk Sky" is a story about a dream that became a profession, and about courage that became a tradition.

On January 1, 2026, the Vitebsk DOSAAF Aeroclub, the oldest in the country, will celebrate its 95th anniversary. For this significant date, the Vitebsk Regional Museum of Local Lore, in collaboration with the aeroclub, has prepared an exhibition project.

For the first time in its history, the activities of the legendary aeroclub will be presented in a museum space. We invite you to peek behind the scenes of aerodrome life. You will see personal belongings of instructors and athletes, sports awards and cups, models of aircraft and helicopters, parachutes from different years, and aviation instruments. This is a rare opportunity to touch the closed world of aviators, which is accessible only to a select few. The exhibition "In the Vitebsk Sky" is not just a chronicle of events; it is the destinies of people for whom gravity was always just an excuse to rise again.

 

The exhibition will be open until March 29, 2026.
