The gala concert of the VII Open Competition of National Cultures, Creativity and Beauty "Grace International" became a vibrant celebration of multinational art.
The final of the VII Open Competition of National Cultures, Creativity and Beauty "Grace International" has concluded in Vitebsk.
It was preceded by four festival days, full of events, during which students of Belarusian universities – representatives of nine countries of the world – learned a lot of useful and interesting things and made real friends.
For the second year, not only the fair half of the student body, but also the strong one has been participating in the competition, and this has given the project a new sound. As it turned out, young men are no less creative than their female peers. Everyone who came to the "Vitebsk" concert hall to cheer for their own, enjoy the participants' performances, and learn something new about other countries was convinced of this. Although these were the final trials, which involved a creative performance and a demonstration of oratorical skills, the audience perceived what was happening as a captivating concert program – so talented were all the participants. It was even difficult to imagine that these were not aspiring artists, but future doctors, economists, technologists, and programmers. And with what love they all spoke about their native country and city, making one want to visit there. The auditorium erupted in applause after each performance, and it was not easy for the jury to choose the winners. But by the end of this heartfelt evening, its main heroes were named.
The title "MISS GRACE" was awarded to Kharini Srinivasan, a student of the Vitebsk Medical University from India. "MISTER INTERNATIONAL" was won by Kitalano Beni Mapenzi, a student of the Belarusian National Technical University from Congo. "I VICE-MISS INTERNATIONAL" – Anna Stoyan from VSU named after P. Masherov, representing Belarus. "l VICE-MISTER INTERNATIONAL" – Mohamad Samir Hazal from Lebanon, from the Belarusian State Medical University. "II VICE-MISS INTERNATIONAL" – Darina Vasina from VSTU, representing Russia. "ll VICE-MISTER INTERNATIONAL" – Manit Shri Gingotage, a student of VGMU from Sri Lanka. The other contestants also did not remain without titles – all received awards in special nominations. Ulyana Chaban, a student of the Vitebsk Academy of Veterinary Medicine from Ukraine, was awarded a special diploma for participating in the culinary competition of national dishes.
As noted by the chairman of the jury, member of the Council of the Republic, General Director of the Vitebsk Culture Center Gleb Lapitsky, the competition of national cultures once again showed how open Belarus is. "By exchanging cultures, we enrich ourselves, lay the foundation for friendship, and through culture and art, we move towards peace and mutual understanding," emphasized Gleb Lapitsky.
