Deputy Prosecutor General Sergey Khmaruk took part in a meeting of the Gorodok District Executive Committee

A meeting of the Horadok District Executive Committee was held with the participation of Deputy Prosecutor General Sergey Khmaruk.

The agenda included the implementation of a comprehensive plan for the prevention of offenses in the Horadok district.

The discussion was attended by the Chairman and officials of the Horadok District Executive Committee, Deputy Prosecutor of the Vitebsk Region Vladimir Guk, Prosecutor of the Horadok District Evgeny Avtsin, representatives of law enforcement and healthcare bodies, and other interested parties.

It was noted that in the current year, there has been a decrease in the total number of registered criminal offenses (-18.8%), crimes under the criminal investigation department (-43.1%), and grave and especially grave crimes (-42.9%) in the Horadok district.

Robberies and muggings, accidents, crimes committed by minors, and crimes on railway transport facilities have not occurred.

The number of crimes registered in the city of Horadok has decreased (from 50 to 32), and there has been no increase in crimes in rural settlements and against elderly citizens.

At the same time, there has been an increase in cybercrimes, crimes committed by foreign nationals, and road traffic accidents in the district.

The Deputy Prosecutor General drew the attention of those present to the issues of preventing property theft from private households in rural areas, as well as to the insufficiency of measures taken to prevent road traffic accidents.

He separately focused on the issue of improving public recreation areas, including for children during the summer period near the district's water bodies, and preventing deaths by drowning.

Following the meeting, a decision was adopted, which proposes additional measures to strengthen legality and law and order in the supervised territory, and defines specific activities, responsible executors, and deadlines.
