Deputy Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee Aleksei Geroev took part in an on-site meeting of the Commission for Emergency Situations under the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee in Uzhachsky District.
The meeting reviewed the operational situation and analyzed the emergency and unusual situations that occurred, as well as the measures taken.
The focus was also on problematic issues concerning the prevention of deaths on water and readiness for the 2024 swimming season.
At the beach of Lake Vechele, participants familiarized themselves with the beach equipment for the season and the technical means necessary for water rescue. They assessed a practical demonstration of drowning rescue operations.
Participants of the event also visited the V. Lobanok Museum of Folk Glory and the "Breakthrough" memorial complex.
