Deputy Prosecutor of Vitebsk Region Vladimir Guk met with members of the regional multidisciplinary group on cooperation in the prevention of labor and sexual exploitation

Deputy Prosecutor of the Vitebsk Region Vladimir Guk met with members of the regional multidisciplinary group, representatives of the Vitebsk branch of the Belarusian Red Cross Society, Galina Zhelanova, Valentina Galalyuk, Diana Senchenko, foreign representative from Switzerland Heather Komenda, specialist of the International Organization for Migration Mission in the Republic of Belarus Victoria Klimova, employees of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, and other representatives of interested departments.

During the meeting, issues of improving mechanisms for identifying victims of human trafficking, cooperation in the field of preventing labor and sexual exploitation, as well as the results of joint activities carried out by state and law enforcement agencies and the Vitebsk branch of the Belarusian Red Cross Society in this area were discussed and considered in detail.

Vladimir Guk thanked the present members of the regional multidisciplinary group for the opportunity to meet in an expanded format and, within the framework of an open, live dialogue, discuss emerging problematic issues, hear everyone's opinion, and receive proposals for improving further cooperation.

During the conversation, the chairperson of the Vitebsk branch of the Belarusian Red Cross Society, Galina Zhelanova, expressed gratitude to the supervisory authority for its assistance and support in the ongoing preventive work. At the same time, she emphasized the many years of effective and close cooperation with the region's supervisory authority, the holding of joint thematic conferences, forums, meetings, and round tables.

Following the meeting, international programs manager Heather Komenda highly praised the level and established practice of interaction between the Vitebsk Region Prosecutor's Office and the regional multidisciplinary group in the field of preventing labor and sexual exploitation.
