Regional Executive Committee Meeting: 119 thousand sq. m of housing commissioned in the Vitebsk region in the first half of the year
In the Vitebsk region, 119 thousand sq. m of housing were commissioned in the first half of the year, or 39.8% of the annual target set by the Council of Ministers, and 36% of the regional executive committee's target. This was announced at a meeting of the Vitebsk regional executive committee by Igor Isachenko, Chairman of the Committee for Architecture and Construction.
In terms of indicators, almost all assigned volumes exceeded 50% of the annual targets, with the exception of commissioning apartment buildings in cities (36.4%), for citizens building with state support (43.5%), and social housing built with the technical and economic assistance of the PRC (four apartment buildings in Polotsk, Novopolotsk, Vitebsk, and Lepel).
Igor Isachenko paid special attention to the implementation of the housing construction program in the regional center. The city has been assigned a target for commissioning a total area of 151 thousand sq. m, which is half of the regional total.
Based on the results of the first half of the year, 59.1 thousand sq. m were commissioned, or 39.1% of the target. One of the reasons for this result, in his opinion, is the long ramp-up period associated with the processing of the necessary design and estimate documentation.
Nikolai Sherstnev, Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, emphasized the unacceptability of the current situation regarding the implementation of the housing construction program. "There are still six months ahead. We need to step up efforts and take prompt measures to fulfill the target," urged the head of the region, instructing the chairmen of city and district executive committees to take this issue under their personal systematic control.
