Meeting of the organizing committee for the preparation and holding of the regional "Dazhynki" in Braslav: the date and concept of the festival have been determined
Extensive preparatory work precedes the holiday. "A huge number of facilities have already been commissioned, some are in progress. A number of organizational issues are currently being resolved in parallel. This year, Braslav expects several thousand guests who will be in the city for two days - September 28-29. Our task is to make it as convenient and comfortable as possible for everyone: local residents, guests, direct participants of the holiday, and everyone involved in its organization. A rich cultural and entertainment program is being prepared, which includes a demonstration performance by the Ministry of Emergency Situations (last year in Verkhnedvinsk it was a great success), concerts, including those with the participation of Russian pop artists, and many other interesting events," said Vladimir Terentyev.
Alexander Bodanin, Chairman of the Braslav District Executive Committee, spoke in more detail about the city's preparations for the large-scale event. "We are largely ready for the holiday, as work in this direction has been ongoing since last year. The planned facilities are being commissioned systematically. For example, on September 2, we solemnly opened the reconstructed School No. 2. The last construction project remains at the final stage - this is the major overhaul of our city stadium. In the middle of the month, the ribbon will be cut at this facility, and we will essentially only need to tidy up and create a festive atmosphere in the city," noted the head of the district.
A total of over 100 facilities are being prepared for the regional "Dazhynki" in Braslav, ranging from the landmark for the entire district – the embankment of Lake Drivyaty – to capital and current repairs of housing stock and yard areas. The financing volume is about Br20 million.
Alexander Bodanin emphasized that the work on improving the city will not end after the holiday. "Dazhynki" is just a catalyst for the city's development. Work on a number of facilities will continue in the future. "As planned, we are starting the construction of the FOK in September. This is a transitional facility, we are well aware of its significance for the population. In addition, the improvement of yard areas will continue. Now we have taken only the first step, we need to move forward and put the entire city in order completely. The same applies to the streets: a huge part of the work has been done, but there is still much to be done," noted the chairman of the district executive committee.
