Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee meeting: Br18 million will be allocated for Braslav's preparation for the regional "Dazhynki"

Br18 million will be allocated for the preparation of Braslav for the regional festival-fair of agricultural workers "Dazhynki-2019". This was announced at a meeting of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee by the Chairman of the Braslav District Executive Committee Alexander Bodanin during the discussion of the preparation of the district center for "Dazhynki".

"2019 is a unique year for all Braslav residents; we have been given the opportunity to renovate it, increase the tourist potential of the region, and strengthen the position of the agricultural sector. All organizations of the district have joined the work on improving the subordinate territories, modernization, and major repairs," emphasized Alexander Bodanin.

There are about a hundred facilities in the preparation list. One of the main ones is the embankment of Lake Drivyaty along the R3 road, which is intended to become the city's main tourist attraction. Sidewalks, food outlets, recreation areas, floating piers and fountains, and a skate park will be equipped here. The investment in this project will amount to Br2.5 million. A new kindergarten is planned to be commissioned in mid-summer, and secondary school No. 2 in August. Repairs of healthcare, trade, consumer cooperation, communication, housing stock, and courtyard facilities are underway. Among the major sports facilities, Alexander Bodanin noted the renovation of the stadium of the district sports club "Drivyatich".

Public transport stops will be transformed for the holiday, and city wells will be decorated in a unified style. Special platforms for mobile shops will be equipped in the villages. The "Lesnichevka" forest park, where the main events of the holiday will take place, has already been improved. Work on the main facilities is planned to be completed by September 1.
