Meeting of the commission for the implementation of the requirements of Directive of the President of the Republic of Belarus No. 1
The meeting, chaired by the Deputy Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Vyacheslav Durnov, considered issues of ensuring safe working conditions during the grain harvesting campaign in agricultural organizations located in the Vitebsk region, as well as measures taken to prevent deaths on water and ensure safety when using beaches.
The event was held with the participation of representatives of the Vitebsk Regional Department of the State Labor Inspectorate of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Belarus, the Committee for Agriculture and Food of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, the Vitebsk Regional Organization of the Belarusian Voluntary Society for the Rescue of People on Waters (OSVOD), the Department of Internal Affairs of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, and the Ministry of Emergency Situations Department for the Vitebsk Region.
Noting the importance of the joint work being carried out to ensure safe working conditions in agricultural organizations, Andrey Nizyulko stated the need to increase control by responsible entities over the actual elimination of identified violations.
Regarding the issue of ensuring safety of people on water, the prosecutor noted the importance of conducting both preventive work with people resting by the water and with persons operating small vessels: "Local authorities and interested parties need to pay attention to the current negative trend associated with the increase in emergency transport incidents involving small vessels. For this purpose, closer interaction with the authorities of the institution "State Inspectorate for Small Vessels" should be established."
Based on the results of the meeting, a protocol was prepared, which includes measures to improve the effectiveness of work in the indicated areas.
