I wanted to make a call…

Resident of Shumilino district K. faced two months of arrest and a criminal record for an "irresistible desire to make a call" on a mobile phone.

But is everything as simple as it might seem at first glance?

After finishing alcoholic beverages at a local entertainment venue, K. arrived at the Vitebsk railway station at 4 a.m. to wait for his transport and go home peacefully. While sitting on a bench in the waiting room, K. fell asleep. Upon waking, he saw M., who had also come to the station after drinking and was sleeping peacefully opposite him. Without much thought, K. approached M. and tried to check the contents of his pockets, but only found a passport. After that, K. sat down in his place, and when M. turned to the other side, he noticed a mobile phone in his pocket. And at that moment, K., who did not have his own mobile phone, really wanted to call his friends. He approached M. again and took the protruding phone from his pocket.

And this is where the "simplicity" of the situation ends and all the "complexity" begins. Instead of trying to turn on the phone and dial a number, K. put it in his pocket and headed for the exit of the waiting room. After that, he went down to the 1st floor, heading for the exit of the station building.

And if it weren't for the vigilance of a woman in the waiting room, who reported the theft to the transport police officers, K. might have managed to leave the station and then freely use the stolen phone...

Thanks to prompt actions, K. was detained, and he immediately confessed that he had no plans to return the phone...
