Women of Belarus discussed the future of rural hinterlands
The forum "Woman and the Future of the Village" in Minsk was characterized by lively communication. Successful rural women shared their personal experiences and plans, and talked about how they managed to implement their ideas in rural areas.
The forum was held on the initiative of the deputies of the House of Representatives as part of the republican plan of events for the Year of Belarusian Women. Representatives from 118 districts of Belarus, who make a significant contribution to the development of the Belarusian village with their labor, gathered for the meeting.
The important day was kicked off by the exhibition "Tenderness of the Belarusian Land in Women's Palms" in the foyer of the Oval Hall, which demonstrated the multifaceted potential of the Vitebsk region.
– In inviting you to this discussion, I first and foremost want to thank you for your work. I am confident that the "Woman and the Future of the Village" forum will be further proof that you represent an influential force dedicated to building a prosperous Belarus, – said Igor Sergeenko, Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, welcoming the assembled women.
Women from the northern region joined the discussion. Yulia Adamovich, a history teacher at the Rzhavskaya Basic School named after M. Gelovani from Beshenkovichi, bore a special mission – to speak in the Oval Hall of the Government House on behalf of all women of the Vitebsk region.
– It was very exciting, such a scale, such responsibility. That's why I'm overwhelmed with emotions now. Everything was great and very interesting. I am grateful to the Head of State for the opportunity for women from all regions of our country to gather. It's wonderful that such events exist. And thank you for being loved and valued.
The Chairman of the House of Representatives, in turn, noted that such dialogues will help find new development paths in the future.
After the discussions were completed, women from the Vitebsk region went on an excursion to the Palace of Independence.
