Best wishes from Belarusian president to Vitebsk’s New Year’s 2024 baby boy

03.01.2024  Among the three babies born in Belarus in the first minutes of 2024, there was a baby boy who arrived in the Vitebsk regional maternity hospital. On the instruction of Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko, Vitebsk Oblast Governor Aleksandr Subbotin came to congratulate the happy mother.
The head of state congratulated all little Belarusians born on New Year's night, and since there were three of them at once, the president instructed Aleksandr Subbotin to present a gift on his behalf to Alisa Kolesnikova, who became a mother for the second time.
The happy mother said that she gave birth to her eldest daughter Eliza, who is two years old, in the same maternity hospital. The Kolesnikovs named their son Teodor, which means "God-given". The baby boy weighs a little more than 4kg, and is 56cm tall. According to the new mother, she is not going to stop at the second child, because it is important to continue the tradition of large families: she has five more brothers and sisters, and her husband's parents had 10 children in the family. Alisa Kolesnikova is from Latvia. Her husband is a Belarusian native. The mother plans to find a job in Vitebsk in the future. She is an architect by training.
Wishing a happy holiday season to Alisa Kolesnikova, the governor noted that she has already made an important gift to the region - she gave birth to another Vitebsk resident, who, given his impressive weight and height, will become a symbol of growth, prosperity and well-being. "I am here on a modest yet very important mission. The president asked me to give you a gift and flowers on his behalf and wish you all the best as this beautiful journey begins," the governor said.
